Pendle from Black Moss Reservoir

Who Are We?

We are one of several groups based in North East Lancashire. We have almost 400 members and new ones are always welcome. We organize weekend and weekday walks in the Burnley/Pendle area, the Ribble valley, the Yorkshire dales, and the Bowland fells.  The walks are varied, in order to cater for all levels of ability.

If you are not sure of your own standard of walking or would like to "try us out" why not join us on a couple of trial walks? The current walking list is shown on this website and further information can be obtained from our secretary.

We also arrange a varied programme of day and long weekend coach trips to other parts of Britain and we have a number of social events which are always popular. If you are on your own, give us a whirl!

On a more serious side, in line with Ramblers Association's policy, we keep an eye on our local footpaths and report any obstructions or damage to stiles, footbridges, etc. in addition to advising on path deviations and opposing any detrimental ones or closures.
